Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Food and Beverage Service Assistant to join our team at Barnett Hill Hotel. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare the restaurant for service, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Meet and greet guests, providing a warm and friendly welcome.
  • Take guest orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Serve food and beverage, including alcoholic beverages, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Complete satisfaction checks, ensuring our guests are satisfied with their dining experience.
  • Resolve any service issues, providing a prompt and professional solution.
  • Present bills to guests and take payment, ensuring a smooth and efficient transaction.
  • Reset the restaurant at the end of the shift, ready for the next service.
  • Ensure the work area is clean and tidy before departing.

Requirements

  • You must have reliable transportation due to the hotel's semi-rural location.
  • You must have a smart appearance, reflecting the hotel's high standards.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and guests.
  • A passion for guest service and experience within a quality food service hotel or restaurant is required.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, 5 days a week, including weekends, with a 37.5 hour working week.
