Job Title: Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our Trauma and Orthopaedic department. The successful candidate will have expertise in soft tissue knee surgery and a strong track record of delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of trauma and orthopaedic services
  • Participate in teaching and education programs for junior doctors and medical staff
  • Engage in research and audit activities to improve patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Full registration with the GMC
  • Postgraduate medical qualification (FRCS (T&O) or equivalent)
  • On UK Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT/CESR
  • ATLS or equivalent
  • At least 12 months fellowship-level training in soft tissue knee surgery
Desirable:
  • Higher qualification (e.g., PhD/MD/MSc)
  • Experience of working in a major trauma unit
