Job Overview

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Orthopaedic Surgeon in Training to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in trauma and orthopaedics, working alongside a team of experienced consultants and surgeons.

The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the emergency orthopaedic and trauma 'on call' service, liaising with the registrar on-call to clerk, admit patients from A&E, and take referrals from GPs. They will also be expected to attend trauma calls, work flexibly with colleagues, and share the workload.

The role offers a comprehensive training program, with opportunities to develop skills in orthopaedic surgery, trauma management, and patient care. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the team, participate in ward activities, and attend regular ward rounds with the appropriate consultant.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
