Job Summary

Tura Executive is seeking a seasoned Insurance Manager to join our team in London. As a key member of our energy trading company, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our global insurance program, ensuring optimal coverage and risk mitigation for our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Insurance Program Development: Analyze and develop an optimal insurance program structure, ensuring comprehensive coverage for our company and subsidiaries.
  • Cost-Effective Coverage: Negotiate cost-effective coverage and terms and conditions across insurance policies, minimizing risks and maximizing benefits.
  • Underwriting Data Management: Manage accurate and timely underwriting data submission for program renewals, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruptions.
  • Corporate Insurance Matters: Support the management of all corporate-wide insurance matters, including reviewing new operations, identifying gaps, and recommending coverage as needed.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate insurance and risk-related requests from internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, Human Resources, Operations, and global subsidiaries.
  • External Partnerships: Build and manage external partner relationships, including insurance brokers, third-party administrators, and insurance companies.
  • Insurance Certificates and Renewals: Maintain all issued insurance certificates, insurance cover, and proactively manage renewals to ensure continuous coverage.
  • Claims Management: Prepare and submit insurance claims to insurance brokers/underwriters, negotiating for the best possible outcome for the company.
  • Sanctions and Compliance: Work closely with the legal team to monitor, amend, and communicate sanctioned vessels and shipping companies as required, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Sanctions-Related Clauses: Provide advice and input on sanctions-related clauses in NDA, Trade Finance, or other commercial contracts.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's or higher degree in Finance, Shipping, or Maritime Law.
  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience in energy/oil trading companies or tanker ship management companies in insurance or broking.
  • Insurance Knowledge: Strong knowledge of insurance markets and trends, including general insurance, coverage, contracts, and terminology associated with the insurance and commodities industry.
  • Communication and Facilitation: Effective written and verbal communication, facilitation, planning, organizational, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Language and Location: Fluent in English and currently based in or willing to relocate to London.
