Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and implement transport solutions and improvement opportunities to maximize commercial viability.
  • Work closely with sales teams to ensure best practice across the company and deliver the optimum and most cost-efficient solution.
  • Responsible for all UK transport, including negotiating transport contracts and integrating operating systems.
  • Set up, implement, and monitor systems to ensure compliance with HMRC and transport authorities regulations.
  • Ensure company processes and procedures comply with HMRC reporting requirements.
  • Provide training and knowledge to employees dealing with transport functions and adhere to systems in place.
  • Implement and monitor preparation of Certificates of Origin and other required statutory documents.
Requirements:
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to comply with HMRC and transport authority requirements.
  • Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation with competent IT skills.
  • Current working knowledge of transport legislation and previous experience in transport management, planning, and scheduling.
  • Previous experience within a similar environment is essential.
