About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Support Assistant to join our team at The Olive School, Birmingham. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in fostering a caring and supportive learning environment for our young people.

Your experience of pastoral care will enable you to place our learners' welfare at the heart of the school. You will work closely with our teaching staff to provide individualized support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEND, working closely with teaching staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Contribute to the development, monitoring, and review of IEPs, ensuring that students receive the best possible support.
  • Work with students on a one-to-one, small groups, and whole-class basis, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
  • Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and other adults, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
