Job Summary

About the Role

The Clinical Lead will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring care in their locality is based on sound assessment and care planning processes.
  • Literacy support for staff transitioning to mobile working.
  • Representing the service both internally and externally, communicating complex information to ensure people are fully informed of the service.
  • Ensuring appropriate statutory and mandatory training has been undertaken by all team members.
  • Responsible for the retention and recruitment, induction, personal and professional development of staff.
  • Monitoring clinical supervision, induction, preceptorship, and development of staff.
  • Exercising leadership and judgment in the management of a Community Nursing Team to ensure good clinical practice and maintain high standards of care, and reviewing staff practice at regular intervals.
  • Providing education opportunities and training for all staff and students, including pre- and post-registration nursing students.
  • Developing district nursing practice in a defined area, developing and using relationships with other primary care team members.
