About the Role

As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational management of our on-shift security personnel. This is a critical role that requires a natural leader with a keen eye for detail and a passion for security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety Management: Promote and rigorously review health and safety on site to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Performance Monitoring: Contact, review, and coach all security personnel at least once a month to proactively monitor performance and maintain positive employee relations.
  • Training and Support: Provide training, advice, and support when needed to ensure security personnel have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication through informal and formal briefings and toolkit talks to ensure all personnel are aware of security procedures and protocols.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee relations issues promptly following company procedures and actively encourage reward and recognition to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Special Assignments: Manage special assignments, ensuring adherence to agreed security procedures by the security team.
  • Professional Standards: Always maintain the highest professional standards and be fully conversant with operational functions, including access control, CCTV detection, and alarm systems.
  • First Point of Contact: Be the first point of contact for all site security function-related queries and manage resolutions or more intricate operational issues.
