Procurement Category Manager | Reading | £45,000 - £50,000 per annum | Perm | Hybrid (2 days per week in Office)

About the Role:

Castlefield Recruitment is currently working with a Public Sector Organisation to recruit a Procurement Category Manager on a permanent basis.

A strong background in Public Sector procurement and excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills are essential for this role.

The role offers a hybrid working policy, with 2 days per week required on site for meetings in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and manage contracts to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Run end-to-end tenders to secure the best value for the organisation.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Research new products and services to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Authorise new contracts and lead change management initiatives to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to engage and communicate procurement strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Public Sector procurement is essential.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are required to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
