Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Category Lead to join our team at 1st Executive Ltd. As a Category Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development of category strategies within assigned categories, with the objective of identifying cost savings.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of category strategies within assigned categories, with the objective of specifically identifying cost savings.
- Analyse spend and contracts and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure the category strategy is developed in collaboration with business stakeholders and delivers demonstrable cost savings to 1st Executive Ltd.
- Develops a clear plan for strategy implementation with buy-in from the business.
- Provides direction, guidance, and coaching to the relevant Category Managers to secure successful delivery.
About the Role
This is a great opportunity to work on large infrastructure investment programmes of considerable size, scale, spend value, and complexity. You will need commercial and procurement experience and be required to lead multimillion-pound procurement projects, running large complex sourcing activities.
Requirements
- Commercial and procurement experience.
- Deep knowledge of IT procurement.
- Ability to lead and manage multiple sourcing activities.
- Strategic knowledge of procurement across Indirect Services.
- Evidenced approach of Category Management cost saving achievements.
