AWE PLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Manager to join our team and support a complex infrastructure programme. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for driving, implementing, and executing Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, and Supplier Relationship Management for a complex group of categories.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement category strategies to leverage and secure AWE PLC's supplier base, ensuring alignment with business requirements and risk mitigation.
- Manage end-to-end category performance for the category group, including multimillion-pound procurements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize category needs, and develop effective sourcing strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring excellent service delivery and value for money.
- Develop and manage category budgets, ensuring effective cost management and control.
- Stay up-to-date with public procurement regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
- NEC accreditation or experience in contract management.
- Professional services background, with experience in public sector procurement and contract management.
- CCS contract experience preferred.
- Experience in business governance and public sector governance.
- Experience in scoping deliverables, contract variation management, and budgetary control.
- A competitive salary range of £60,000 to £80,000, depending on experience.
