About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our Clinical Support Team in the Urology Department at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with staff within and outside the department, including extensive contact with General Practitioners, patients, and other external agencies.
  • Provide and receive complex and sensitive information, requiring tact, empathy, and diplomacy.
  • Respond to a high volume of external and internal inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Implement instructions involving liaison with patients, hospitals, General Practitioners, and other agencies in connection to patient care.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and external agencies.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Extensive use of computerized information systems and paper-based records.
  • Copy and audio typing as required.
  • Collection, delivery, and tracking of correspondence and health records to patients, referrers, and doctors.
  • General clerical and administrative duties, including day-to-day maintenance of records and filing.
  • Faxing, photocopying, and distribution of incoming post and mail.
  • Computer entry of data and updating of patient information leaflets and booklets.
  • Shared responsibility for answering departmental inquiries and maintaining a good working knowledge of all office procedures.
  • Filing, retrieving, and archiving patient records.
Person Specification
  • Good general education, including GCSE English.
  • NVQ or other vocational qualifications.
