Construction Assurance Manager

At National Highways, we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Assurance Manager to join our team in the East region. This role will play a critical part in the delivery of our Capital Investment Schemes, ensuring that construction schemes are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assure the completion of planned works to agreed standards and escalate any concerns to the Construction Manager.
- Provide regular and timely feedback to Project Managers on scheme construction progress, risks, early warnings, and design-related issues.
- Act as liaison between key supply chain partners and coordinate the delivery programme, ensuring buildability reviews are carried out on all projects.
- Maintain good liaison with Project Managers and Commercial & Procurement colleagues, providing relevant and timely information on Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
Requirements:
- Proven highways/structures maintenance/construction experience, with a strong understanding of site-based processes, relevant legislation, practices, and policies for health & safety, environmental, and quality management.
- Knowledge of the NEC 4 ECC form of contract and experience in using it.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management, with a strong customer focus and ability to manage geographically dispersed teams.
- Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) preferred.
