Construction Assurance Manager

At National Highways, we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Assurance Manager to join our team in the East region. This role will play a crucial part in the delivery of our Capital Investment Schemes by ensuring that our interests are represented on civil engineering construction and maintenance sites.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as the primary point of contact for Project Managers, providing regular and timely feedback on scheme construction progress, risks, and early warnings.
- Collaborate with supply chain partners to coordinate the delivery programme, ensuring buildability reviews are conducted on all projects.
- Maintain effective liaison with Project Managers and Commercial & Procurement colleagues, providing relevant information on Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
- Ensure the completion of planned works to agreed standards and escalate any concerns to the Construction Manager, in line with agreed governance requirements.
- Proven experience in highways/structures maintenance/construction, with a strong understanding of site-based processes, relevant legislation, practices, and policies for health & safety, environmental, and quality management.
- Knowledge of the DMRB, MCHW, Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual, and CDM Regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management, with a strong customer focus and ability to manage geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience in using the NEC 4 ECC form of contract.
- Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) or Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.
