Critical Care and Theatres Team Member

Sought after as a Pharmacy Support Specialist, you will receive a competitive salary of around £25,000 - £30,000 per year at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. Your primary responsibility will be to provide pharmacy support duties to Critical care and Theatres at Ipswich Hospital.
You will work closely with the pharmacy team to manage pharmacy stock in top-up areas and address any complex issues that may arise. This role requires an NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant or equivalent qualification.
Main Tasks:
- To establish and maintain effective communication channels with the top-up team to ensure seamless coordination during periods of absence or statutory bank holidays.
- To develop and implement processes to identify and remove in-date drugs no longer required from critical care and theatres.
- To maintain accurate records of drugs 'borrowed' from critical care and ensure wards are debited/credited accordingly.
- To facilitate the dissemination of out-of-stock reports to pharmacy link personnel in theatres and ensure timely ordering of necessary drugs.
- To securely transport controlled drugs to the CCU and Theatres.
