About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Graduate Support Mentor to join our team at Harris Academy Clapham. As a member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting our students and contributing to the overall success of the academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality support to small groups of students
  • Evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback
  • Liaise with parents to maintain open communication channels
  • Ensure accurate records of student progress are maintained
  • Develop and implement effective marking and feedback strategies
  • Promote collaboration between teachers and students to drive academic success
  • Foster a culture of mutual respect and trust within the classroom
  • Support students in achieving their learning objectives
  • Work closely with teachers to develop engaging lesson plans and resources
  • Contribute to the overall success of the academy by running homework clubs and assisting peers as needed
  • Adhere to examination protocols and perform roles such as reader or scribe when required

Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum

Qualifications and Experience
  • A Level or undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in English, Maths, or Science
  • Relevant experience working with children of the same age group
  • Ability to work effectively with students who require additional support
  • Successful delivery of literacy and reading/writing recovery programmes
