Job Title: Senior Supervisor

As a Senior Supervisor at Holroyd Howe, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food services to our esteemed clients in the education sector. Your primary focus will be on collaborating with your teams to develop a strong work relationship and providing outstanding customer service.

To excel in this position, you will need to possess excellent presentation, organisational, and communication skills. A genuine passion for food and service, combined with bags of enthusiasm, is essential for success in this role.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Collaborating with the back-of-house team to create well-balanced and nutritious menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Managing the catering budget to ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
  • Establishing strong relationships with school Bursars, Head Teachers, and faculty members.
  • Recruiting, training, supervising, and motivating catering staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols.
  • Identifying opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused environment.
  • A track record of managing, training, and supporting teams, with a focus on developing strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Financial acumen, with the ability to create and maintain budgets and drive commercial performance.
  • Excellent coaching, delegation, and influencing skills.
  • The ability to prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment and thrive under pressure.
  • Meticulous organisational abilities and a high attention to detail.
  • Empathetic, clear, and highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills.
