Job Title: Mental Health Specialist

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Academics Ltd is currently recruiting for a Mental Health Specialist to work in a secondary school in Slough. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will be working alongside the teacher to support children with their learning, aiming to improve attainment and engagement in wider school life.

The ideal candidate will have a degree graded 2:1 or above and previous experience working with children/young people. This could include childcare, tutoring, helping within a nursery, in a sport setting, charity, or in a similar classroom setting.

The school is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate teaching assistant who is excited about their input into the young people's education and life beyond school. The teaching assistant will be supporting across all subjects as well as supporting SEN pupils. The primary role will be to ensure each child is fulfilling the learning objective for each lesson.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with special educational needs
- Work alongside the teacher to improve attainment and engagement
- Support across all subjects

What We Offer:
- Competitive pay rate of £83-£95 per day
- Long-term temporary contract with potential for permanent
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday (8:30 am – 3:30 pm)
