Job Title: Associate Director - Cost Management

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our team as a Cost Management Lead. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cost management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the key client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value-added cost management service.
  • Manage estimating and cost planning activities, including taking ownership of and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Manage the procurement process, ensuring that all stages are performed effectively.
  • Ensure that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively.
  • Ensure that cost checking and valuation work is managed effectively.
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present them to the client.
  • Value engineering and life cycle costing.
  • Ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
  • Take a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Lead a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities.
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
  • Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities.
  • Work with Directors to construct bids for new work.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates, and products.
  • Staff management - input into the formal management of Senior Cost Managers and Assistant Cost Managers or small cost management teams.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working on major Rail projects.
  • Preferably MRICS.
  • NEC3 contracts (in particular Option C - Target Cost).
  • Post-contract administration.
  • Experience of working on Major Programmes and Projects.
  • Experience of working in the Infrastructure (Rail, air, power, highways).
  • Experience in leading and managing teams.
