Job Summary

As a Lead Engineer - Modelling and Control Expert at GE Grid Solutions, you will play a key role in driving the technological developments in the HVDC market. You will lead the design and development of modelling and control techniques to satisfy the needs of the VSC HVDC market. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the acceleration of the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of requirement specifications, design specifications, and test specifications for HVDC systems.
  • Develop and implement modelling and control techniques for VSC HVDC systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Participate in gate review meetings, design review meetings, and quality processes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or above in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, with focus on Power Systems, Power Electronics, or Control Theory.
  • Good understanding of Modelling and Control first principles and algorithms used in the VSC-HVDC modular multilevel converter (MMC) technology.
  • Experience in HVDC system design, control development, and validation.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with MATLAB/Simulink and/or PSCAD for VSC-HVDC applications.
