We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project & Cost Accountant to join our team at Apetito. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in providing financial oversight and guidance to our project teams.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial project reports to ensure accurate and timely financial management information.
- Analyze all project expenses and provide insightful commentary to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure project contracts are adhered to and provide timely and accurate financial management information to control costs throughout each project.
- Conduct comprehensive cost-benefit analyses for all major projects to provide critical insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Utilize financial acumen and analytical expertise to evaluate potential investments and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Ensure robust governance and compliance, while maintaining a nuanced balance between being challenging and a critical friend.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with exceptional communication and relationship skills, coupled with intellectual curiosity and the ability to support and challenge in a way that encourages people to work collaboratively.
Essential qualifications and experience include:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience of challenging and supporting business teams to achieve best value
- Demonstrable ability to 'see the wood for the trees' and focus on what really matters
- Adaptability and intellect
- Passion for encouraging teamwork with a flair for issue resolution and a thirst to learn
- Analytical fact-based
- Good financial acumen with experience of delivering against demanding targets
