Electrical Engineer Opportunity

CITIC Pacific Mining Management is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Cape Preston. As a key member of our Power Plant team, you will be responsible for providing engineering advice, expertise, and guidelines for commissioning, operation, and maintenance of our state-of-the-art power station.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for operation, maintenance, and modification of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to ensure optimal performance and reliability of electrical assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize electrical system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Australian Standards, and industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, guidelines, and reports.
Requirements:
  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience in an engineering environment involved in power system design, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical engineering, electrical system operation, protection, and control.
  • Professional knowledge of generator, transformer, switchgear, circuit breaker, electric motor, VSD, CT, PT, protection relay, etc.
  • Be familiar with operation procedure, periodic inspection & testing items and criteria, maintenance & overhaul procedure and acceptance inspection criteria of the equipment mentioned above.
  • Be familiar with content of asset management, using relevant asset management software (SAP).
  • Relevant knowledge of Australian Standards/Practices and statutory requirements relating to the position.
