About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the design and development of electrical systems for our clean energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce electrical drawings, including block cable diagrams and single line diagrams.
  • Conduct cable calculations using Amtech and lighting calculations using Dialux/Relux.
  • Develop technical documents, such as Basis of Design, Testing Strategies/Schedules, and Method Statements.
  • Participate in design meetings and technical reviews, presenting technical solutions.
  • Perform plant/site surveys.

Requirements:

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
  • Engineering degree in Electrical discipline preferred.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated sector.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards, with a commitment to Continual Professional Development.
  • Working knowledge of standards, regulations, codes, and directives.
  • Appreciation of Construction & Design Management Regulations.
  • Awareness of nuclear industry-specific engineering practices.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Attention to detail and high standard of verbal and written skills.
  • Effective communication and cooperation with the team and sub-contractors.
  • Natural aptitude for engineering calculations, analysis, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to find and propose solutions to internal/external clients.
  • Professional approach to producing technical documentation.
