Youth and Play Session Volunteer Opportunity
High Trees Community Development Trust is seeking a dedicated volunteer to support our Youth and Play Workers in delivering engaging sessions for young people.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the room and activities before sessions
- Support the team in coordinating and delivering sessions, including outings and activities
- Facilitate group discussions and tasks throughout the session
- Contribute to catering and administrative duties as needed
- Follow High Trees policies and procedures for working with children and young people
Commitment
- Attend one session per week, with flexibility to adjust as needed
- Commit to supporting the team for at least one term
Skills Required
- Reliability and punctuality
- Good social and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and engage with young people
- Desirable skills include sports, arts, and crafts, cooking, and bike maintenance
