Facilities Manager for Adult Care Services

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the management of properties within our Specialist Services Adults Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a well-maintained and safe built environment across multiple sites, varying in size from smaller domestic properties to larger multi-building locations.
This role involves managing Capex & R&M budgets, overseeing capital improvements, maintenance, and site management teams. You will work closely with operational teams to align site and operating requirements with budget, communicate on planned and reactive works, and collaborate with external suppliers/contractors as necessary.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing Capex & R&M budgets and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Overseeing the capital improvements, maintenance, and management of site maintenance teams on larger sites and mobile maintenance teams on smaller sites.
- Working closely with operational teams to align site and operating requirements with budget.
- Liaising with external suppliers/contractors as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A highly organized approach and excellent communication skills.
- A resilient and flexible attitude with the ability to work as part of a team.
- An appropriate academic qualification to degree level or equivalent professional qualification is preferable.
- A relevant estates management background.
- Experience of analysing building defects and specifying required repairs.
- Evidence of managing and delivering projects from inception to completion, including managing contractors.
- An analytical mind, methodical approach, and keen attention to detail.
- Good prioritisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- The flexibility to travel across locations, staying overnight when necessary.
We offer a competitive salary range £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus benefits package. This post requires travel, so a car driver is essential.
