Embedded Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance services across multiple site locations. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all maintenance requests and will be responsible for ensuring that all technical and compliance paperwork is up-to-date and completed accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules within agreed timescales and maintain accurate records.
  2. Respond promptly to service call requests from the Helpdesk, assessing the requirements and carrying out repairs as necessary.
  3. Prioritize maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
  4. Order spares in accordance with laid-down procedures.
  5. Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery, advising the Line Manager of findings and recommending suitable replacements.
  6. Maintain compliance documentation, ensuring it is always up-to-date.
  7. Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by City Facilities Management.
  8. Conduct minor alterations and installations within technical competence, in accordance with current specifications.
  9. Attend training courses as necessary to maintain personal job skills in line with technical developments.

Requirements:

  1. Educated to GCSE/Standard Grade level as a minimum.
  2. Able to work efficiently independently or as part of a team.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Able to work at speed and efficiency, with a focus on response times and PPM schedules.
  5. Ability to maintain Health and Safety policies.
