The NHS is seeking an experienced Hospital Support Associate to join their team at Darlington Memorial Hospital. As a key member of the Domestic Services Team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Job Description

As a Hospital Support Associate, your primary responsibility will be to carry out cleaning duties as detailed within the domestic method statements, following cleaning schedules and COSHH guidelines. You will also be required to undertake refections from the cleaning audit action plans and show continual improvement.

Additional duties may include assisting with beverage service, thorough and hygienic cleaning of all domestic equipment and storage areas, attending Trust or required training courses, requesting and replenishing of all cleaning products, maintaining a high level of personal hygiene, adhering to all Trust / SCL and Departmental policies and procedures, checking of all equipment before use and reporting any faults and defects to supervisor/manager, recording and maintaining records as required, and reporting of any estates issues that have an impact on the cleaning services that you provide.

Requirements
  • A minimum of previous experience as a domestic/housekeeper.
  • Experience of working as a domestic in a healthcare environment.

The estimated salary for this position is £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
