Purchasing Team Leader Job Description

VJ Technology seeks a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Team Leader to join their team for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of tasks and responsibilities, supporting the Purchasing team and managers in the smooth running of the department.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Liaising with suppliers to ensure successful delivery to sites.
  2. Monitoring and reviewing current stock, placing re-orders when required.
  3. Maintaining a professional and friendly manner when liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
  4. Developing strategies to find cost-effective ways of working.
  5. Collaborating with the Purchasing Manager to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • Prior experience of working within a fast-paced construction or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
