Cybersecurity Analyst

At ANS, we're seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Security Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our customers' online and on-premise infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities- Incident Response: You will be responsible for handling major incidents escalated to you, supervising analyst responses to alerts and events to identify potential threats, and working with customers for service management and incident response.
- Security Monitoring: You will optimize the deployed security monitoring tools (Microsoft Security) and develop runbooks for response and internal processes.
- Reporting and Compliance: You will assist sales/account managers with client security service reporting, ensure compliance to SLA, process adherence, and process improvement within the SoC, and mentor associate and junior security analysts in the SoC.
- On-Call Rota: You will work as part of an on-call rota, providing 24/7 support for critical security incidents.
- Eligibility for HMG Security Clearance: You must be eligible for HMG Security Clearance, which requires 5 years of UK residence.
- Technical Skills: You must have a strong understanding of Microsoft Security Suite (Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Azure), Microsoft Azure environment, Linux and Windows operating systems, syslog and event viewer, incident response, network defense, OS specific log data, and broad knowledge of cyber security principles and management.
- Soft Skills: You must have a proactive approach to challenges, clear and concise communication skills, willingness to develop with continual learning, logical problem-solving abilities, and accuracy and attention to detail.
