IT Cybersecurity Analyst

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and eager to grow in a dynamic environment? We're seeking an enthusiastic and driven IT Security Analyst to join our client's team in Manchester city centre.

In this role, you'll be a key player in helping our client protect their systems and data from potential threats. You'll work alongside our experienced IT Security Manager and wider IT team to enhance our cybersecurity framework and ensure our defences are always up to date.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the IT Security Manager in protecting, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats.
  • Helping develop, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures in line with UK regulations and other standards.
  • Monitoring and configuring cybersecurity control systems, including internal and external vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Working closely with the IT Service Desk to respond to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Participating in key security meetings and contributing to ongoing risk assessments and improvements.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience with cybersecurity tools like SCCM, Nessus, and Mimecast.
  • A solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for cybersecurity and continuous learning.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of ITIL or ISO 27001 standards.
  • Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISMP).
