Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at an outstanding school in Wimbledon. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support and assistance to students with SEND, including those with ADHD, SEMH, SLCN, and associated difficulties.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages students to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Assist in the implementation of EHCPs and work closely with the SENCO to ensure that students receive the support they need.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience working with students with SEND, particularly those with ADHD, SEMH, SLCN, and associated difficulties.
  • A compassionate and patient approach towards supporting students' individual needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting individuals with SEND is desirable.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm, term time.
