Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and flexible individual to work within a SEN School in the borough of Merton.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will support students during lesson time and social time, helping them with their schoolwork, to achieve their individual goals as well as lifeskills lessons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support students with SEND needs, including SEMH, Autism, and Challenging behaviour.
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery, ensuring students receive a high-quality education.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Manage challenging behaviours and provide patient support to students.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure students' needs are met.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with SEND students.
  • Teaching Assistant Level 1 qualification.
  • Experience in a UK school setting.
  • Enhanced DBS check and subscription to the DBS Update Service.
  • Safeguarding qualification or willingness to complete a course provided by Protocol Education.
