**Job Description**

The Workforce Planning Manager role sits within the Traincrew Strategy Team, within the Operations Directorate. The individual will work closely with the Head of Traincrew Strategy to develop and implement a forward-facing strategy that utilizes the full available workforce effectively.

The responsibilities include:

  • To support Workforce Planning peers in the completion of their duties.
  • Analyse Workforce Planning data to highlight risks to the business and report these risks to the Head of Traincrew Strategy and Functional Heads.
  • To provide tailored support and reporting to the Head of Stations around workforce planning.
  • Providing support to regional and station managers by highlighting key risks and suggesting mitigation strategies.
  • Undertake personal projects to improve the overall business response to strategic challenges.

As a minimum requirement, you will need to have:

  • An understanding of Workforce planning and the associated models that govern the discipline.
  • Demonstrable work experience in the administrative tasks required in workforce planning or a comparable discipline.
  • An appreciation of traincrew rosters and crew diagrams and the impact they have on Workforce Planning.
  • Full computer literacy with experience in different operating systems.
  • Evidence an advanced level of competence in Excel.

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
