  • This part-time Academic Tutor opportunity involves working with students on a 1-1 basis, providing high-quality English sessions to maximize their potential across the subject.
  • The role requires someone to work closely with students in North Yorkshire, supporting vulnerable pupils and making a difference in children's lives by achieving their academic goals within English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging sessions to children who are currently working below expectations, utilizing a variety of behavioural strategies to ensure engagement.
  • Applying a child-centred approach to learning, having an awareness of the child's needs and interests, and assessing pupils to provide constructive feedback and enhance learning outcomes.

Requirements

  • A strong subject knowledge of the English Curriculum and experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH, and other additional needs.
  • An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided).

Salary Information
