We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to join our client, a well-respected Tier 1 Main Contractor, on a c£80m New Build Mixed-Use project in Suffolk. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in the local business, leading a team of c20 staff and managing all project management functions from planning, design, and financial management to practical construction delivery.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of pre-construction project management, contract management, H&S, and exceptional client-facing skills. Previous experience in managing projects £50m+ as No1 PM is essential, with a stable career history delivering projects over £50m. The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing all project management functions for the project, including planning, design, and financial management, through to practical construction delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team of c20 staff in managing all project management functions from planning, design, and financial management to practical construction delivery.
  2. Manage all project management functions, including planning, design, and financial management, through to practical construction delivery.
  3. Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project progress.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Construction Management or comparable qualification.
  • Previous experience in managing projects £50m+ as No1 PM.
  • A stable career history delivering projects over £50m.
  • Strong working knowledge of pre-construction project management, contract management, H&S, and exceptional client-facing skills.
