Vacancy Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Construction Delivery team as a Project Director. The successful candidate will lead a c£80m New Build Mixed-Use project in Suffolk, working closely with the client and project stakeholders.

About the Role

As a Project Director, you will be responsible for managing all project management functions, from planning and design to financial management and practical construction delivery. You will lead a team of c20 staff and work closely with the client to ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the project team to deliver the project on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  2. Develop and implement project plans, including project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  3. Manage project risks, issues, and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies as required.
  4. Collaborate with the client and project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  5. Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Previous experience in managing projects £50m+ as No1 PM.
  2. A strong working knowledge of pre-construction project management, contract management, H&S, and exceptional client-facing skills.
  3. Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead a team of c20 staff.
  4. A valid CSCS Card and ideally NVQ Level 6, BSc or MCIOB.

Desirable Experience

Previous experience in delivering Construction projects £50m+ within any of the following sectors would be advantageous: Commercial, MOD/Defence, Education, Science or Mixed-Use sectors.
