Event and Conference Technician

proAV Limited is seeking an experienced Event and Conference Technician to join our London team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical onsite support in event spaces, conference rooms, and meeting rooms. You will have exposure to a wide range of technologies, including audio visual and video conference systems.
Key Responsibilities- Setup and operation of integrated events spaces, including high-profile auditorium-based presentations and town halls
- Proficient in audio, video, and lighting equipment, both digital and analogue
- Video conference and audio conference setup and support, including software and hardware platforms
- Manage all aspects of video calls, from initial booking to completion, including scheduling and system testing
- Prepare equipment for future events and meetings as required
- Work with the Breakfix team to locate faults and provide resolutions, including fixing, replacing, or upgrading hardware
- Perform daily checks on all equipment in the building and provide on-going preventative maintenance
- Provide audio visual support to other areas of the business, including setting up PA systems and assisting with presentations
- Work in a team environment and be a sole technician responsible for a client site, with the ability to liaise with senior executives
- Provide excellent customer service skills and be able to work calmly under pressure
- Be presentable and able to liaise with senior executives in a professional manner
- Work onsite shifts and be flexible to meet requirements, including out-of-hours events
- Liaise with the help desk and operations team to arrange backup support when required
- Administer the role using Microsoft Office applications, Zoom back-end bespoke ticketing systems, and room booking software
- Attend other sites as required, including outside of London
- Support the Livestreaming team as required
- Proactively train and support end users as required
- Locate faults and provide first-fix resolutions, including fixing or loaning equipment where appropriate
- Prepare equipment for events and meetings as required
- Be fully competent with all installed and portable technologies
- Provide support on an individual basis to users at all levels of seniority
- Assist with high-level audio visual quality of presentations, including optimization of content aspect ratios, resolutions, and file formats
- Attend and remain on station for important events as required
- Work any rotational shift basis as required
- Administer the role, including email correspondence using professional language and decorum
