Main Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will form part of the Newcastle Trade team at Porcelanosa, focusing on generating new business and managing key accounts on a daily basis. Their base location will be the Leeds Head Office, with the expectation of covering surrounding areas.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the customer base is updated with all relevant information, including enquiry points, contact names, and methods of operation to meet their requirements.
  • Familiarize themselves with all personnel working within clients' businesses and ensure they are aware of the Porcelanosa brand and image.
  • Be fully conversant with the complete range and technical specifications of Porcelanosa products to provide suitable procurement solutions for customers.
  • Regularly contact local developers, interior designers, and architects to ensure they receive up-to-date specifications and price lists.
  • Develop and encourage existing and prospective customers to purchase Porcelanosa products over competitors based on product quality, unique solutions, and service.
  • Introduce new products and services offered by Porcelanosa in line with the current business strategy.
  • Liaise with all levels of staff within the Company to ensure customer expectations and service levels are achieved.
  • Stay aware of market trends and competitors' activities, product ranges, strengths, and weaknesses.
  • Maintain clear and accurate reporting procedures regarding all business activities and ensure timely submissions.
  • Ambitiously achieve set sales targets, aiming to exceed both monthly and annual targets.
Requirements

  • Excellent management and people skills.
  • Smart personal appearance.
  • Clear and positive communication with good negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Relevant experience in face-to-face customer sales in a similar environment or possesses the underlying traits to fulfill this role.
  • Must be a driven individual who consistently brings in new business and maintains existing accounts.
  • At least 3 years of experience within a similar role.
  • Preferably someone with a Kitchen, Bathroom, or Tiles background for product understanding.

Education and Qualifications:

  • A good level of verbal, written, and numerical literacy.
