Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Locum Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team at Permanent Hire Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Conducting comprehensive assessments for patients with various conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, and respiratory issues.
  • Treatment Planning and Delivery: Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall function.
  • Rehabilitation: Supporting patients in their rehabilitation journey by developing and monitoring rehabilitation programs, helping patients regain independence, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life following injury or surgery.
  • Patient Education: Educating patients and their families about their conditions, the importance of exercise, posture, and ergonomics, and providing advice on managing chronic conditions or preventing injury.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to provide coordinated care.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies and professional standards.
  • Discharge Planning: Planning and managing patient discharges, ensuring a smooth transition to home or community-based care.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Physiotherapist.
  • Experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or community health service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Salary and Benefits
