We are seeking a highly skilled Locum Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team at Permanent Hire Ltd.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients with various conditions, including musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders, and respiratory issues. Use a range of assessment techniques to diagnose and understand the patient's physical limitations and rehabilitation needs.
- Treatment Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall function. Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and electrotherapy.
- Rehabilitation: Support patients in their rehabilitation journey by developing and monitoring rehabilitation programs, helping patients regain independence, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life following injury or surgery.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, the importance of exercise, posture, and ergonomics, and provide advice on managing chronic conditions or preventing injury. Empower patients to take responsibility for their recovery through self-management strategies.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and rehabilitation specialists, to provide coordinated care. Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions to ensure comprehensive care planning.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with organizational policies and professional standards. Ensure that all treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries are properly documented.
- Discharge Planning: Plan and manage patient discharges, ensuring a smooth transition to home or community-based care. Provide advice and recommendations for ongoing care, including home exercise programs or referrals to other specialists if needed.
- A Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Physiotherapist.
- Experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a hospital or community health service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The estimated salary for this role is £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
