Palliative Care Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Palliative Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Hospital of St Johns and St Elizabeth. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of nursing care and promoting a progressive attitude to patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain continuous high standards of skilled nursing care and professional practice through evidence-based practice
- Supervise and teach both trained staff, healthcare assistants, and student nurses
- Assist the Ward Manager in all aspects of leadership and management of the hospice in-patient unit
- Contribute to the day-to-day running of the service
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Palliative Care Nurse to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will have the chance to work proactively as a member of our multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care to patients and their families.
Requirements
- Experience at Band 6 or above in specialist palliative care or oncology
- Demonstrable practice that is evidence-based and up to date
- Experience of identifying and dealing with risks encountered within own practice
- Experience of supporting junior/less experienced staff
