Overview of the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our Liverpool-based team at Allied Bakeries. The ideal candidate will have industry experience in FMCG, preferably in the food sector, with excellent analytical skills and proficiency in PC software.

The successful candidate will work a shift-based pattern, performing proactive and reactive maintenance tasks on plant and services associated with a major bakery. Key responsibilities include improving and maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards and company requirements.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £50,069.88 per annum, plus an excellent holiday package, pension scheme matched by the business up to 10%, life assurance, access to our 'Extra Slice' retail discount scheme, early access to wages and competitive rate loans.

Job Description
  • Maintain plant and equipment to maximise machine availability and ensure continuous improvements within the plant and facilities in compliance with Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Diagnose faults and install, repair, inspect, calibrate and overhaul plant/machinery electrically as well as mechanically.
  • Support the manufacturing process and respond safely and effectively to plant breakdowns.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Fully qualified (time served) Electrical Maintenance Engineer with industry experience.
  • Experience in FMCG environment, ideally food sector.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in PC software.
  • PLC and servo drive diagnostic (Mitsubishi) experience.
  • Basic food hygiene experience.
