Job Title: Category Manager (Construction Manufacturing)

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to join our team in Hadleigh. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving the Special Products category product offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop long-term development strategies for product categories.
  2. Collaborate with the sales & technical teams to manage supplier relationships, conducting regular price and delivery method reviews.
  3. Provide market trend insights, supplier and customer analysis, and competitor positioning.
  4. Offer technical product performance and benchmarking data, including pricing positioning.
  5. Implement a cradle-to-cradle NPD management process, including pipeline tracking and reporting.
  6. Manage portfolio activity to ensure optimal product range alignment with market needs and competitive environment, as well as efficient use of manufacturing capacity.
  7. Utilise mission packs to communicate with sales, business development, and technical teams.
  8. Monitor post-launch product performance.
  9. Take ownership and lead project management for all product-related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Essential - Driving License
  • Essential – Experience of product management & purchasing
  • Essential – Good knowledge insulation products
  • Essential – Experience of technical specifications & sustainability criteria
  • Desirable - Educated to degree level or a related role specific qualification
  • Desirable – Understanding of branding, packaging and logistics
  • Desirable – Experience of trademarking
