About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our bank team at North Bristol NHS Trust. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our acute physical health setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver care to people with mental health issues on a 1:1 basis
  • Support all clinical areas of the Trust as required
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring Trust policies and procedures are followed
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Supervise and guide other staff members as needed

Requirements

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Relevant experience within the last 18-24 months
  • Drive to work hard and enthusiasm for the role
  • Right to work in the UK

Person Specification

Education/Training/Qualifications

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with current live NMC registration
  • Evidence of broad range of mental health nursing experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Work Experience

  • Candidate will have undertaken training for extended roles required by the ward / department
  • Candidate will have been working in an apt clinical setting

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Advanced communication skills, verbal & written, to include report writing and record keeping
  • Basic computer / IT skills and expectation to develop these in line with the needs of the service
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and multidisciplinary team
