Electrical Technician for Flooding Improvement Process

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at Thames Water, responsible for maintaining and improving our Flooding Improvement Process (FLIP) devices throughout the Thames Water area.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine planned preventative and reactive maintenance of FLIP devices in restricted chambers.
- Perform electrical or mechanical installation work at properties and sites where FLIP devices are installed.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
- Report on the condition of FLIP devices and identify spares and service requirements.
- Provide specialist technical advice and training support for technical trainees.
- Liaise with external customers at properties where FLIP devices are installed.
- Demonstrate adherence to Health and Safety policies.
- Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems, working in a "true multi-skilled" capacity.
- Previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in engineering.
- Ideal candidate will have been upskilled with a mechanical qualification to allow inspecting, maintaining, fault diagnosing, testing, installing, modifying or repairing mechanical and electrical plant equipment safely and efficiently.
- NVQ or C&G level 3 in mechanical engineering with an upskill qualification in mechanical NVQ2/3 would be beneficial.
- Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues are crucial.
- Physical fitness is required, as the work will involve working in restricted spaces.
- A valid driving license is essential, and all necessary equipment, including vehicles and tools, will be provided.
- Competitive salary up to £39,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- 24 days holiday per year, increasing to 28 with length of service, plus bank holidays.
