Mechanical Project Lead

Your expertise in project management, engineering principles, and health and safety protocols will be essential in ensuring the successful execution of these projects.
About the Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned project leader to join our team and contribute to the development of our water infrastructure. As a Mechanical Project Lead, you'll have the autonomy to manage a portfolio of projects, from initial scoping and tendering to commissioning and handover. Your experience in project management will enable you to develop and implement comprehensive project plans, oversee financial forecasting, and ensure compliance with our asset standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you'll collaborate with our operations teams and contractors to identify opportunities for process improvements and optimize project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and deliver a portfolio of Mechanical, Electrical, and ICA projects with a typical value of £40,000 to £400,000 per project
• Collaborate with operations teams and contractors to develop and implement solutions that drive business growth and minimize risk
• Oversee financial forecasting of all live projects and reporting on the value of work done (VOWD)
• Ensure compliance with our asset standards, associated British & International Standards, and professional codes of conduct
• Collaborate with delivery partners and contractors to ensure schemes deliver on time
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimize project outcomes
• Ensure that completion documents are available and handed over, including test certificates, operation and maintenance manuals, health and safety files, and as-constructed drawings.
Requirements:
• Have a background in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
• Be able to work with minimum supervision, be self-motivated, and driven, and use your initiative to deliver high-quality work
• Experience in Project Management is desirable
Salary: Up to £56,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
