Job Title: Support Professional for Children with Autism and SEMH

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Professional to work closely with a child in Reception who requires targeted assistance with communication, interaction, and emotional regulation.

This is a long-term position at a welcoming and inclusive school in Warwick, with the possibility of becoming permanent if the placement proves successful.

As a Support Professional, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in a young child's educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support tailored to the unique needs of a child with Autism and SEMH in a Reception class.
  • Adapt to the child's individual learning style, using creative and nurturing approaches to enhance their engagement and progress.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that encourages the child's confidence and independence.

Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to ensure the child's needs are met and their development is regularly monitored.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children who have special educational needs (Autism, Communication and Interaction, SEMH).
  • Willingness to embrace feedback and support the school's inclusive, nurturing approach.
  • Level 2 (or higher) TA qualification.
