Speech and Language Therapist for Children with Autism

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Arc Oakbridge School. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with communication needs.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload and working flexibly to provide therapy services to pupils according to clinical need. You will also participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, staff meetings, supervision, training, and annual appraisals.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have a degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent, UK HCPC Registration, and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. You will have successful post-registration practice and experience working with young people, ideally with experience of working with children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and young people with developmental trauma within a Trauma-Informed Model.
You will be able to demonstrate effective management of a clinical caseload of young people with neurodiversity, social, and emotional needs, as well as the ability to carry out a range of effective speech and language therapy assessments and interventions relevant to young people with SEMH needs and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Arc Oakbridge School, part of Kedleston Group Limited, is an independent specialist day school in central Birmingham for children and young people with autism aged between 7 and 16. Our school offers a calm, low-arousal, safe, positive, and nurturing place where young people with a primary need of autism (ASC), including Asperger's Syndrome and associated complex needs, can learn and grow.
