About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Arc Oakbridge School, a specialist day school for children and young people with autism. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with complex communication needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat students with communication disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Collaborate with teachers, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of therapy services
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, staff meetings, supervision, training, and annual appraisals
  • Contribute to the development of the learning environment and support programs to improve outcomes for students
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
  • UK HCPC Registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
  • Successful post-registration practice and experience working with children and young people with autism and complex needs
  • Experience of working with students with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and young people with developmental trauma within a Trauma-Informed Model
  • Ability to manage a clinical caseload of students with neurodiversity, social, and emotional needs
  • Knowledge of and commitment to person-centered practice in all stages of the speech and language therapy process
