About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at Home Care Direct. As a Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous supervision, care, and support to our clients with complex care needs.
  • Ensure the client's safety and well-being at all times, responding promptly to their needs and requirements.
  • Accompany the client to the bathroom, support during seizures, and call for assistance if necessary.
  • Administer medication on time each morning, as required.
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the client, their family, and other care team members.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar care role, preferably with children or young adults with complex care needs.
  • Knowledge of children's British culture or similar interests.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to commit to long-term care for one client in a person-centered way.
  • Reliability, non-judgmental, caring, responsible, and compassionate attitude.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and treating the client with dignity and respect.
